Notices for Next LAFCO Meeting - Monday, September 22, 2008 - 4:00 p.m.

  

The proposed “Cornnuts Annexation” involving the annexation of approximately 51 acres to the City of Greenfield and the detachment of this area from the Resource Conservation District of Monterey County.   The area, northwest of central Greenfield, is roughly bounded by Cherry Avenue on the north, Walnut Avenue on the south, 10th Street on the east, and 12th Street on the west.   (LAFCO File 08-03)

 

 

The proposed “Marina Station” Sphere of Influence Update and annexation of approximately 325 acres of the Armstrong Ranch property on both sides of Del Monte Boulevard within the northern portion of the City of Marina to the Marina Coast Water District and the Monterey Regional County Sanitation District (Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency).  Marina Station is a city-approved mixed use development including 1,360 residential units, general office and industrial uses.   (LAFCO File 06-06)

HALF-TIME ASSOCIATE OR SENIOR PLANNING ANALYST

Associate Analyst: (20 Hours/Week) $2,635 - $3,581/Mo. + Benefits

Senior Analyst: (20 Hours/Week) $2,889 - $3,927/Mo. + Benefits 

Located on the magnificent central coast of California, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Monterey County is seeking an exceptional candidate to perform planning, policy and program analysis of government boundaries and services. The position may be filled at either the Associate or Senior Analyst level.  Ideal candidates will have degree in urban/regional planning, public administration or a closely related field; 2+ years experience for Associate position or 4+ years for Senior position in a California LAFCO, County or City government; excellent communication skills, and working knowledge of LAFCO, land use, environmental and other applicable State and local laws.
